Keep Calm and Puppy on!

As the sun sets on the first weekend and fourth day of lockdown, we find ourselves wondering what we are to do for the next four weeks. There are only so many rooms to paint and routes to walk.

The dogs don’t know what to make of it all. They’re getting an abundance of company and the daily walks have been the stuff of legend. Perks of lockdown!

It’s not all roses though. Honey has already tracked swampy mud through the house and Hendrix likes to sniff fox p*o (yuk). This has made things interesting as normally, a simple trip to Perfect Pooch would wash the stains and shame of their day away. Imagine hosing down two cockerpoo’s in your the sanctuary of your bathroom from two paces away as you pray in vain that the shower is powerful enough. I’m sure you don’t need to imagine, we’ve all been there right?!

Hang in there, we’re told four weeks passes quickly. You can pre-book your full grooms, small grooms and everything in between to take place from 2nd December and in the mean time, please keep in mind that we are still open for essential grooming. That includes but isn’t limited to:

  • Matted and/or shaggy fur rectifying

  • Dental work

  • Ingrowing or awkward growing nail trimming

  • Skin irritation treatment

  • Ear infection treatments

  • Fleas and/or ticks removal

So if your dog is experiencing discomfort or irritability, please do call us. Even if you’re not sure what the issue is, call us, and we’ll talk it through with you to assess the situation. We really don’t want our pups to unnecessarily suffer.

We are following the covid-19 government guidelines closely so you needn’t worry. Appointments will be strictly by appointment only and your pooches will be the only ones allowed to cross the threshold.

Hang in there everyone, we’ve done this once before, we can do it again. And remember, we are still here to help you, if you need it.

Love
